Description
Join us for an in-depth workshop on “Strategies for Using Malaria Vaccines to Prevent Malaria in Pregnancy” hosted by the European Vaccine Initiative and La Fondation pour la Recherche Scientifique (FORS) under the ADVANCE_VAC4PM project.
This interactive event will explore how to successfully roll-out and implement vaccines targeting malaria in pregnancy, with insights from global health experts and relevant stakeholders.
Key topics include:
• Placental malaria (PM): disease background & vaccine development
• WHO pre-qualification process, vaccine delivery and financing
• Lessons learned from IPTp implementation
• Lessons learned from HPV vaccine roll-out
• Cost-effectiveness & socio-ethnographic aspects to support PM vaccine implementation
• Building a framework for stakeholder engagement and effective communication strategies
With contributions from World Health Organization (WHO), JSI, the African Vaccine Regulatory Forum (AVAREF), the scientific community, the Ministry of Health in Sub-Saharan Africa and other key stakeholders, the workshop will offer a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange. The program includes scientific presentations, panel discussion and Q&A sessions.
